GENERAL PROGRAMME

GENERAL PROGRAMME

This year’s organization will be enriched with new thematic units:

Summer Music Kindergarten | Through specially adapted activities, games and applications that have already been tested with success on children of preschool and early-school age (4-7 years), students will come in contact with the basic notions of music, the notes and the musical instruments. Through games, movement, singing and listening, the child will be able to unfold its creative side, it will learn how to receive joy through music and how to enjoy learning music!

Early Music Department | The language of the Baroque. Why and how can the knowledge of “early music” enable us to interpret all subsequent music styles better? Basic principles of interpretation and understanding of harmony and basso continuo will be taught, along with basic principles of improvisation. Also, information on early instruments will be offered and Italian Baroque works will be studied, in order to be presented in a final concert by students together with the instructors. Participation in the seminar is open to all, and does not preclude any prior knowledge or possession of an early instrument.

Choral Conducting Workshop | The seminar is addressed to directors of children, youth and school choirs, directors of conservatory, municipal and other choirs, as well as to students of choral conducting at Conservatories or Universities. It aims at a detailed presentation of the theoretical and music-pedagogical aspects of choral praxis (which involves the methodology of teaching), and of the practical aspect (involving kinesiology, vocal warm-up and singing).

Naturally, all thematic units from previous organizations will be included:
